House Is Life and i am addicted Been collecting music for 36 years and very proud of my vinyl collection from the 80's/90's. In my opinion the 80's was the best time for music and left me inspired by the great musicians and artists who left a legacy behind and music is still influenced by those heroes. Not afraid to experiment with sounds and always searching the globe for something a little different, and if recent releases don't cater for my needs, then there is always the archives. My Listening Genre's - House, Soulful House, Deep House, Afro House, Jazz House, Latin House, Tribal House, Lounge, Nu-Jazz, Soul, RNB, D&B, Garage, 2 Step. Music has always been my pastime and enjoyed the occasional gigs and live sets, but never really took my passion to the next level. Life is kinda hectic and faded out of the scene for a considerable time but now back to basics doing what i enjoy, pretty serious about my music and hope that i can spread some joy along the way...love peace and prosperity to all. I think music in itself is healing. It's an explosive expression of humanity. It's something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we're from, everyone loves music. UUSVAN / DJ / Producer / Remixer My name is Sven. Born in 1969 from Tallinn. House music came into my life and took it's most part. I just enjoyed the music and played when I can. Searching for new styles, search for myself led to the House sound, nowadays I try to do music in different directions. With age, attitudes have changed and my heart told me that I belong to deep house, progressive house, deep techno /soulful & funky & Disco & jackin house. Now I am not yet a simple listener but I want to create and produce my sensations, share emotions and the power of the dance with other persons. Big music fan and i'm into music from 2005 and into Dj-ing from 2010. I was, and still am a technical/DJ on many radios/sites. Very good advisor, but still need exp and practice on my new eq. :) With my new equipment Numark DM 2050 and 2 pleyers Axis 4 I'm able to mix some of the newest tracks into nice & soulfull mixes. Got a lot better these months and now with some new exp i can go further into the world of Djs. From Vauxhall NJ where I first heard a DJ by the name of George Potter who helped me create my first mix with two turn tables at the age of 13. Then there was Mark Thompson who helped me polish up my skills on blending. Other mentors to me are Vernon Roberts, Phase III Disco aka DJ Butch, and Larry Morman. But it was when I went to my first night club New Experience and listened to Mark Thompson mix with 3 turntables and a reel to reel and said this will be me someday. Then there was the Paradise Garage, what an experience. Larry Levan is a one of kind. It was when I heard him for the first time and learned it’s not about the mix but about the music and how you control the music. I took that being said to Germany where I spent 4 ½ years in the army DJ’ing around Europe in several night clubs and raves. The way you control the music puts you in complete control of the crowed. So I would just like to say to up and coming DJ’s out there, it’s not always your mix but the song you play and how you play it. The right song played the right way will always move crowed!!
